When Coco Channel, who of course made Channel #5 famous, was asked by a client where to apply her new perfume she answered, "Where ever one wants to be kissed."

Here Is How To Wear
Your New Organic EO Blend

The proper application of scent begins with your morning shower. Always use a matching scented soap. Recently a study was done in Canada and they discovered, even after a woman applied a perfume, and deodorant, at the end of the day the scent that was strongest on her skin was left by the laundry detergent from her clothing.

If you have other products you use then apply layers of fragrance starting with a lotion or cream, followed by dusting powder then eau de perfume, toilet water, or cologne. Body creams, as opposed to lotions, have a much higher concentration of perfume oils and because of their cream base, will often outlast perfume. Yon can find lotions with carriers that are designed for your specific skin type.

Remember, fragrance rises, so be sure to put some behind your knees as well as your other favorite pulse points—ear lobes, throat, the bend in your elbow, wrist and between your breasts.

When you use your fingers to apply perfume in an oil base from a bottle with a stopper, you can limit contamination of the fluid by not using the stopper as an applicator. Contaminants from your skin can stay on the stopper and be introduced into the perfume where they can incubate. Instead, use your fingers on the rim of the bottle. Some recommend that you should not rub the perfume into skin as this damages the perfume's molecular structure, but we don't agree, just don't rub too hard.

If you're using the mister version it doesn't matter because you'll be spraying it on. Don't spray perfume in your hair unless it is freshly washed as the oils can change the nature of the fragrance. Don't spray it on your clothes, because the essential oils can stain certain garments. If you want to scent your cloths, mist undergarments, your night gown, bed sheets, pillows, or feet we suggest you use a oil-less, dry or powder version of your constitutional blend that we can create for you.

The same or constitutional compatible fragrances could be applied in the morning, at lunch, in late afternoon, and before bed. Save your perfume for evening when you want a slightly stronger effect. However, if you have dry skin or find you have to reapply your scent too often, consider using a bit of perfume during the day.

If you want to apply your scent for a special occasion, give it 10 to 15 minutes to settle in and mellow out.

The fragrance we created for you and your constitutional blend both comes in a mister, so for best results spray it about 8 inches away from your body. Do not spray scent directly on your clothes because perfume can stain fabrics and cling to them.

Put dusting powder in your shoes.

When your skin perspires in hot weather, the natural oils and moisture amplify, and the perfume has nothing to hold on to, so it evaporates quicker. Therefore heavier scents can be worn in the winter.

Perspiration and heat cause a fragrance to emanate and be more pronounced, so be sure to use the lightest form of your chosen scent when engaging in sports activities.

High altitudes decrease the long-lasting effects of fragrance so you will need to apply scent more often. Also, your fragrance will be perceived as being lighter, so you may want to try a stronger fragrance.

Other factors, which will affect your body chemistry, and therefore your perfume, include medication, spicy or high fat foods, stress, and pregnancy.

Store fragrances in a zip-seal bag when traveling. The more often you open a bottle containing pure essential oils the greater the chance of oxidation, which increases the resinous fragrance and the staleness of your citrus notes. That's why we suggest you try our roll-on dispenser. If you decide you want to pour them directly from a bottle try not to open it more than necessary and mix your blend in small quantities. You can keep the following oils in your refrigerator to extend their life maybe up to six months. If your blend begins to smell flat or even rancid or they look murky or thickened throw them into your next bath and mix up a new blend.
