Recent Web Work

Tantra: OsCommerce is a pretty complicated shopping cart program. Working orders were to take an 780px left-justified catalog and center it, then later convert it to a 1024px centered page. The visual designers did everything in big graphics, the html designer did everything in tables, so I had to translate those specs into something that works with divs, since osCommerce is created using divs.

Treadcorp: I had fun with this project because I got to do everything from scratch. I scrounged for an open-source flexible css layout, created graphics, did the php and mysql work, and the backend admin. Too bad it's not being used much yet!

Refrigeration Technology, Inc.: The old website was done completely in flash, so I pulled what text I could out of the files, and scrounged around the office for pictures and other documents so I could rebuild it in html/css. I started with a picture of a chiller, pulled out some colors to make a palette and off I went. Since I was working on making software for the "Super Stat" temperature/humidity controller, I figured I'd make the basic page design around it's boxy shape and color, so these two ideas morphed into the new site, along with the fact that the owner likes blue!

AlohaBay: I took over maintenance of this site and have been slowly migrating from oodles of html tables and old-dreamweaver-font-mess to a simplified css approach to web pages.

Daisy Organic Essentials: This website was built from scratch, using PHP and MySql--it was my time of getting competent with linux Lamp skills, and trying to start a small business. It's really messy now! Sometime I'll have to clean up the css and other compromises made in the heat of battles.

DatsunSports.com: I created and update this site every now and then for my next door neighbor. I also run ebay ads for his sports cars.

Wonder rests the vital being: A primitive attempt at art!

Black Elk: The book is an poignant biography of the American Indian Chief Black Elk. An amazing, poetic, and tragic story of his life and of the destruction of the Indian culture.
