(Foeniculum vulgare)

Sweet fennel has a very sweet, but slightly earthy or peppery-spicy odor and a clean, sweet-aromatic dryout. It's similar to the aroma of anise (what you commonly taste in licorice).

Its principle sphere of action is on the digestive system, stimluting the Qi energy. Fennel can be used as a diet aid, and also to relieve indigestion. It also helps move stuck mental and emotional energy.
